About Hank:

Hank is a medium-sized, male Heading Dog, aged 1 years old.

Description:

Hank: 1yo heading dog, he has all his vaccinations and worming up to date. I bred him myself out of my mainstay heading bitch and by a really well bred trial dog, so he’s a very special boy to us. Unfortunately due to him having an accident playing with his brother (who we also retained and have working) he sustained a very mild cruciate ligament injury. I have spent the last couple of months rehabbing him and he has come back incredibly well, however due to this injury I’m not willing to pursue a working dog career with this weakness in the case it flares up. I’m hoping to find him a home potentially on a lifestyle block where someone can put a bit of light work on him but he can mostly be a loved pet, he’s got a very sweet nature and he only wants to be someone’s best mate. He has a sit, stay and “out” for stock work and a recall command. We just don’t have the room for him here as much as I would love to keep him! He deserves to have his own person! He is well accustomed to farm life, horses, sheep, cows etc. We do have a cat who thinks she’s a dog which hank gets along with well, however if she runs he will chase. Never been an issue to call him off though, he knows he’s not allowed to chase but sometimes she gets the better of him! We also have no chickens so unsure what his thoughts are on these.
