Blade is a medium-sized, female Hunting – Pig Dog, aged 8 years old.

Hi, I’m Blade. I’m a beautiful natured 8-year-old hunting dog, living in Winton.

I live with 14 other farm dogs. I just slot in with my crew.

They’re all my good friends.

I’m very dog social – in fact, if they’re all down the other end of the paddock from me, I’ll sometimes howl… calling out to them.

During mealtime, while us dogs are busy eating, I’ll sneak past the gates and head over to the house – just to check there’s no extra scraps around.

Yip, I certainly love food. I’ll eat ANYTHING on offer!

My owner says, with me being so charming and all, I get away with lots of sneakiness!

I’ve always been a hard-working wee girl but, sadly, just over a year ago, I injured one of my back legs.

My owner hasn’t taken me hunting since then. He really doesn’t want to upset my leg, which I have a slight limp in.

In fact, he’s hoping to find me a wonderful loving PET home, where I can live out my golden years being pampered.

He says I’d be fine living in town, or a lifestyle block would suit me too.

I could share my home with other doggies, or happily live solo.

Let me tell you, my owner is feeling pretty sad about saying goodbye.

He says he’d love to keep me for the rest of my days but, with 14 other dogs, he feels I deserve more quality one-on-one time.

Not that I’m a demanding type. He says, the thing that’s so special about me, is that I’m “respectful of everything.”

I love pats, you see, but I’d never pester you endlessly for them. I’m just ever so grateful for any and all attention.

I’m a girl that’s stolen his heart, and for so many reasons.

I’m a very loyal doggy with excellent manners, for one thing.

I have a very soft nature and I’m really gentle around toddlers.

And you know what? I’m not even territorial when people come to my home.

I’ll make friends wherever I go.

In my new home, I’d be fine living with chickens.

Cats, I haven’t met yet, so it’s hard to know how I’d be, sharing a house with one.

I’m just a really fun girl to have round the place.

I’ll fetch sticks for you – in the water as well! I always love a good swim.

Aside from the slight limp in my back leg, I’m a healthy girl with plenty of life to live yet!

My farmer wanted me to let you know that I’m not spayed; however, he’s happy to arrange this before I move to my new home.

And he’d like to trial me for a few weeks too – just to make sure I’m happy and well suited to my new home.

So, if you’re looking for a gorgeous-natured sweetheart – who excels at sneaking round for food scraps, loves a swim and adores a game of fetch – I could be the girl of your dreams.
