About Lace:

Lace is a medium-sized, female Heading Dog, aged 5 years old.

This is ‘LACE’ she is looking for a new home. She decided a long time ago that farm work was not for her, no matter how much we have tried to encourage her. And even though she is still a young girl (about 5 years old) she has retired from farm work and is destined to greet someone at their porch each day, or ride in the back of the Ute to jobs, and we think Lace would still be handy if you did have a small flock to tend to. We would love to keep her as a pet but we have plenty of pets as is. She has a wonderful calm kind smiley nature, lovely with kids and easy to be around, but would prefer to chase possums rather than sheep. She does have a tendency to wander when off lead if she sniffs out something that catches her nose, so she will need to be on a well fenced property if no one has an eye on her. We just want to find Lace the best home possible, with someone where she will feel like number one as we feel she would thrive and even become very handy or very loyal. We are located on the coast of Lyttelton Harbour just outside of Christchurch.

A bit about Lace’s personality:

Loyal, calm, kind, smiley. Will stick by your side until she smells something and if not looking you will then wonder where she has gone, loves possums! Can have moments where she can be handy with stock. We think with one on one time she shows her best.
