Ruby is an 8 month old Heading cross Huntaway pup looking for an active pet home with a canine playmate, or potentially a working home if someone is willing to put time into training her. She shows a lot of eye on stock, so if she is rehomed as a pet on a lifestyle block, new owners will need to be prepared to work on her boundaries.

This pretty girl is very active and playful, and needs a home where her exercise needs will be met. She’d love to be a running buddy and may be a good match for agility as she is a talented jumper (needs decent fencing). Ruby loves kids, being a bouncy girl she is best suited to older school aged children, but she would be a great friend for kids to go on adventures with. Has not met cats, but we imagine that she would chase them if they ran-would need some introducing and firm boundaries. A playful dog buddy is a must for Ruby as she could play all day and loves other dogs. She is a sweetheart and has a lot of potential, as she is very clever and likes to learn.

Ruby has been speyed, vaccinated, microchipped and registered, and will have an adoption fee of $300. As with all of our foster dogs, we will require a property inspection and a vet reference before finalising adoption. For more information, please contact adoptions@retiredworkingdogs.org.nz
